.NEAR TERM...
(Now through Monday)
Issued at 456 AM CST Sun Nov 24 2024

Surface high pressure remains rooted across the southeastern
U.S. through Monday night. A cold front approaches the area from
the northwest late Monday night as an upper trough pushes into the
region. Expect dry weather conditions to prevail for most of the
period. Rain chances increase in advance of the surface cold front
during the overnight hours Monday night west of the I-65
corridor. Temperatures will follow a warming trend with highs
today topping out in the lower 70's, and middle to upper 70's for
Monday. Overnight lows bottom out near 50 over the interior and
middle 50's nearer the coast tonight. Monday night will be even
warmer with temperatures only falling into the upper 50's to lower
60's over the interior and middle 60's nearer the coast. A Low
risk of rip currents continues through Monday night. MM/25

.SHORT AND LONG TERM...
(Tuesday through Saturday)
Issued at 456 AM CST Sun Nov 24 2024

A short wave moving across the Ohio Valley will send a cold front
toward the coast on Tuesday. The front will stall near the coast
with a brief shot of cooler and drier air moving into the area on
Tuesday. The stalled front will return northward as a warm front
on Wednesday as a stronger shortwave moves across the plains. This
will bring deep layer moisture back into the area long with
warmer temps. A stronger cold front will move across the area
late Thursday into Friday with a much cooler and drier airmass
returning to the area. /13
