...New AVIATION, NEAR TERM...

.AVIATION...
(18Z TAFS)
Issued at 1225 PM CDT Sat Nov 2 2024

VFR conditions are expected at the terminals through the next 24
hours. Winds will diminish this evening, and will increase to
around 10 kts once again Sunday morning. Lower clouds may impact
the terminals early Sunday morning, but confidence is too low to
add this in the TAFs. /73

.NEAR TERM...
(Now through Sunday)
Issued at 409 AM CDT Sat Nov 2 2024

An upper ridge which extends from the Gulf to across the Florida
peninsula and into the western Atlantic amplifies significantly over
the eastern states through Sunday as a longwave trof evolves over
the western states. A large surface high over the eastern states
meanwhile transitions to a surface ridge oriented from the extreme
northeast states down into the southeast states. Am anticipating dry
conditions today and have kept mention of pops out of the forecast
for Sunday as well, although can't rule out that weak isentropic
lift developing near 305K may eke out some spotty light showers.
Highs today will be in the lower to mid 80s with similar values for
Sunday. Lows tonight mostly range from the lower 60s inland to the
mid/upper 60s at the immediate coast, and lows Sunday night will be
similar except just a bit warmer. Have opted to continue with a High
Risk of rip currents through the period, although this is more out
of caution for today and tonight as conditions may be more moderate
than high. /29
