...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL ST. JOSEPH AND
NORTHERN BRANCH COUNTIES THROUGH 615 PM EDT...
At 546 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Colon, or 13 miles northeast of Sturgis, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Coldwater, Colon, Girard, Batavia, Leonidas, Sherwood, Matteson Lake,
Hodunk, and Fairfax.
This includes Interstate 69 in Michigan between mile markers 11 and
21.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
southwestern Michigan.
