...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL MARTIN AND
NORTHEASTERN PIKE COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 442 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Canada, or 8 miles southwest of Williamson, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Pikeville, Forest Hills, Huddy, Meta, Turkey Creek, Jamboree, Belfry,
Conder, Zebulon, Piso, Raccoon, Board Tree, Jarad, Mcandrews, Heisey,
Hardy, Sidney, Phelps, Canada, and Varney.

THIS INCLUDES U.S. Highway 119 in Pike County between mile markers 1
and 24.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
