...The Flood Warning is extended for the following river and
location in Indiana...
Wabash River at Covington.
...The Flood Warning continues for the following river and location
in Indiana...
Wabash River at Montezuma.
.Minor flooding, very close to the flood stage threshold, remains
along the Illinois-Indiana border on the Wabash River. Flooding at
Covington should conclude this evening, and flooding at Montezuma
should end Thursday morning. Flooding at these locations is a
result of the most recent rainfall we received, causing a secondary,
lower peak.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The next statement should be issued Thursday morning by around 630
AM EDT.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Covington.
* WHEN...Until tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Low agricultural lands begin to flood.
Backyard flooding of cottages on right bank starts a short
distance upstream of gage. Critical stage of Young-Neal Levee is
reached.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:45 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 16.1 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 4:45 PM EDT Wednesday was 16.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
this evening and continue falling and remain below flood
stage.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma.
* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Several hundred acres of bottomlands along
the right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of
Montezuma begin to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:45 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 14.1 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 4:45 PM EDT Wednesday was 14.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.1
feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage just
after midnight tonight.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
