- Rain chances are on the decrease today before a mostly dry cold
front moves through Wednesday, bringing a shift to northerly
winds and noticeably lower humidity. Relatively quiet and dry
weather continues late in the week.

Generally we are seeing dominance of an upper level high pressure
ridge. This brings the usual lack of rain and slightly higher-
than-normal daytime highs. Tomorrow a cold front, really more of a
drier air mass, moves through the area and this will make
temperatures and heat indexes a bit more comfortable. We can see
the drier air reflected in the PWs dropping into the 1.3 range by
the end of the work week. Friday night into Saturday morning sees
overnight temps as low as 65.

From the weekend through the end of the period we see a fairly
robust upper level low just off the upper Atlantic coast that
pairs with midwest ridging. The northwest flow this generates will
keep us relatively dry and, perhaps more signifcantly, will bring
slightly cooler temperatures that combine to keep feels like temps
in the mid to low 90s.

All terminals VFR at issuance time and expected to remain so for
duration of forecast period. Very,very low chances of isolated
storms through sunset, but if one should occur near a terminal it
could briefly drop CIG and/or VIS to IFR conditions.

Light winds and relatively low seas continue through Thursday
outside of scattered thunderstorms, which could produce brief
strong and erratic wind gusts. A cold front moves through the
coastal waters Wednesday into Wednesday night, followed by
strengthening northerly to northeasterly winds and building seas
through Friday. Conditions improve late in the week and into the
weekend as high pressure settles across the area.
