...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southern Ashland County in north central Ohio...
  Northern Knox County in north central Ohio...
  Northeastern Morrow County in north central Ohio...
  Southern Richland County in north central Ohio...
  Northwestern Holmes County in northeastern Ohio...

* WHEN...Until 1145 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 850 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
    area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Mansfield, Mount Gilead, Ontario, Lexington, Loudonville,
    Fredericktown, Bellville, Chesterville, Waterford, Butler,
    Perrysville, Lucas, Edison, Mifflin, North Liberty, Shauck and
    Mohicanville.
  - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and
    preparedness information.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
