...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...South Central Delaware County in central Ohio...
Northwestern Fairfield County in central Ohio...
Eastern Franklin County in central Ohio...
Southwestern Licking County in central Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 104 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the
warned area. Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen.
Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Columbus, Westerville, Reynoldsburg, Gahanna, Pickerington,
Worthington, Bexley, Granville, Pataskala, Groveport, Buckeye
Lake, Hebron, Minerva Park, Summit Station, Beechwood Trails,
Easton, Granville South and Ohio State University.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
