...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Hancock County in central Indiana...
Madison County in central Indiana...
Delaware County in east central Indiana...
Henry County in east central Indiana...
Randolph County in east central Indiana...
* WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1025 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up
to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Indianapolis, Muncie, Anderson, Lawrence, Greenfield, New
Castle, Elwood, Alexandria, Winchester, Yorktown, Cumberland,
McCordsville, Pendleton, Fortville, Union City, Chesterfield,
Ingalls, Knightstown, Albany and Lapel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
