...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following counties, in northern Kentucky, Grant and
Owen.
* WHEN...Until 1115 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 816 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Williamstown, Dry Ridge, Stewartsville, Lawrenceville, Twin
Bridges, Cherry Grove, Holbrook, Needmore and Williamstown
Lake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
To report flooding, go to our website at weather.gov/iln and submit
your report via social media, when you can do so safely.
