.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1036 AM CDT Mon Sep 15 2025

The stagnant weather pattern continues with dry and warm weather
prevailing through the end of the week. Upper troughing generally
persists across the eastern CONUS, with an occasional passing
shortwave reinforcing the aforementioned troughing. Our forecast
area will remain on the backside of these troughs, keeping
persistent northwesterly to westerly flow aloft in place through
the weekend. This will continue to supply drier air to the gulf
coast states, keeping any chances for rain near zero through the
end of the week, perhaps sneaking up to around 10 to 15 percent
for coastal areas late weekend. Afternoon highs each afternoon top
out in the lower 90's for most locations each day. A few spots
over the interior may see middle 90's on any given afternoon.
Overnight lows cool into the lower to middle 60's most nights,
perhaps warming a degree or two this weekend. A low risk of rip
currents continues through the end of the week. MM/25
