CBC News has learned that three federal government bodies didn’t complete mandatory privacy safeguard checks prior to implementing its $68-million project to revamp Canada's asylum system. The program was shut down quietly last year, partially complete, but experts say a lack of timely privacy tests may be putting vulnerable people’s data at risk.
