At 347 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Picayune, moving northwest at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Picayune, Sun, Crossroads, Mcneil, and Bush.
This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 59 in Louisiana between mile markers 10 and 11.
Interstate 59 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 13.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
