...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Kentucky, including the
following county, Powell.
* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1202 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
nearly stationary showers and thunderstorms. Minor flooding
of small streams and creeks, roads, and roadside culverts
will occur.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Stanton.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
