...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF NORTHEASTERN HARRISON
AND JACKSON COUNTIES THROUGH 115 AM CDT

At 1219 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Biloxi to near Moss Point. Movement was
northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Biloxi, Wade, Latimer, Big Point, D'iberville, St. Martin, Escatawpa,
Helena, Gulf Hills, Hurley, Vancleave, Gautier, Gulf Park Estates,
Ocean Springs, Hickory Hills, Moss Point, Gulfport, and Lyman.
This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 35 and 76.
Interstate 110 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 4.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in New Orleans.
