The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  North Mobile Bay...
  South Mobile Bay...

* Until 1145 PM CDT.

* At 1052 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Alabama
  Port, or near Middle Bay Light, moving north at 15 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Gaillard Island, Dog River Bridge, Middle Bay Light, Alabama Port,
  and Fairhope Pier.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
