.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 327 AM CDT Sun Apr 13 2025

No meaningful rain expected this week. High pressure over the
Southeast drifts into the northern Gulf and western Atlantic later
today through Monday, which allows onshore flow to develop overhead.
A cold front slides toward the region as we head into Tuesday. We
don't anticipate any substantial rain ahead of this front given the
lack of appreciable moisture return until the front is on our
doorstep. Can't rule out isolated showers Tuesday afternoon, but
even that might be a stretch given the dry air parked overhead on
Tuesday morning. High pressure once again moves into the region as
we slide into the middle to latter part of the work week. The next
chance for rain might be late in the weekend or early the following
week as most of the systems prior to then stay well to the north of
the local area. High temperatures will rise into the upper 80s by
Friday and may even make a run for 90 across inland communities.

Beach Forecast - The risk for rip currents remains LOW through the
end of the week. 07/mb
