...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...

  East Fork White River from Rivervale to Shoals.

  White River from Edwardsport to Hazleton.

.On the East Fork White all sites will fall below flood stage on
Tuesday.

The White River will fall below flood stage at Edwardsport on
Tuesday, but will remain above flood stage into the weekend at
Petersburg and Hazleton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement should be issued late tonight by around 245 AM
EDT /145 AM CDT/.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...East Fork White River near Rivervale.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, A few local county roads begin to flood
  and are impassable. These include Buddha Road south of the gage
  and Lawrenceport Road. All local roads across the East Fork White
  River are threatened by high water, and some are closed. Flooding
  of agricultural lands in Lawrence County is in progress.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:30 AM EDT Monday the stage was 22.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:30 AM EDT Monday was 25.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow morning and continue falling and remain below flood
    stage.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Roads that flood include, East and West
  River Road, Spout Spring Road, SR 550 in two places, a county road
  near Beech Creek, Chicken Farm Road and Cemetery Road. High water
  forms at least one island. Two families must walk or take boats to
  leave. One county road in Dubois County floods.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:30 AM EDT Monday the stage was 24.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:30 AM EDT Monday was 27.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow morning and continue falling and remain below flood
    stage.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Old Vincennes Road and State Road 358 in
  Daviess County and Schaefer Road in Knox County are impassable. 
  High water affects agricultural bottomlands.  During agricultural
  season this level is of concern to farmers on the unprotected
  areas along the river.  High water affects river cabins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 AM EDT Monday /6:00 AM CDT Monday/ the stage was 18.1
    feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:00 AM EDT Monday /6:00 AM CDT Monday/ was 20.9
    feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow morning and continue falling and remain below flood
    stage.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Hazleton.

* WHEN...Until late Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, A major flood is in progress.  Local
  levees are at critical levels. Flood fighting and/or evacuations
  is/are in progress.  Oil fields and residential areas on the river
  side of the levees flood extensively.  Many evacuations or
  relocations are necessary.  Sandbagging may begin in Hazleton.  On
  April 27, 2011 one home in Decker in southern Knox County was
  sandbagged.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:00 AM EDT Monday /5:00 AM CDT Monday/ the stage was 28.0
    feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 6:00 AM EDT Monday /5:00 AM CDT Monday/ was 29.5
    feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late Saturday evening and continue falling and remain below
    flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Petersburg.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, The Dodge City area floods extensively.
  The January 2005 flood quickly passed this level and exceeded 27.5
  feet. Nobody remained in Dodge City. The June 2008 and May 2011
  floods also exceeded the 26 foot level.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 AM EDT Monday /8:45 AM CDT Monday/ the stage was 26.0
    feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:45 AM EDT Monday /8:45 AM CDT Monday/ was 26.8
    feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early Saturday afternoon and continue falling and remain
    below flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...East Fork White River near Bedford.

* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 21.2 feet, At this level during December 2013
  backwater reached the tailwater of Lake Monroe as Salt Creek
  stopped falling.  The crest of the river followed 2 days later and
  reached 27.6 feet at Bedford and caused Salt Creek to rise nearly
  6 feet at the tailwater of Monroe Lake.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - There is no current observed data.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    just after midnight tonight and continue falling and remain
    below flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
