...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Kentucky...
Kentucky River at Frankfort Lock affecting Woodford, Franklin and
Anderson Counties.
Kentucky River at Lockport Lock affecting Owen, Henry and Carroll
Counties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast this afternoon.
* WHERE...Kentucky River at Frankfort Lock.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.
* IMPACTS...At 38.0 feet, KY 420 (Old Lawrenceburg Road) closes.
Wilkerson Street, Watson Court, Wilson Street, and Kentucky Avenue
flood. Many basements of homes flood.
At 39.0 feet, Portions of Logan Street, Norton Street and Murray
Street flood. Riverboat Landing is flooded.
At 40.0 feet, Paul Sawyer Drive, East Second Street, East Fourth
Street and Admirals Landing flood. The entrance at McDonald Ferry
Road floods. The campground at Steele Branch Road is closed.
Warehouses along Great Buffalo Trace Rd. flood.

- At 10:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 40.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 28.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Thursday morning and continue falling.
- Flood stage is 31.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE FRIDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring is forecast to continue into
tonight.
* WHERE...Kentucky River at Lockport Lock.
* WHEN...Until late Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 47.0 feet, Some homes in Monterey near High Street
flood, with Point of Rock Road and long stretches of Old Landing
Road flooded.
At 49.0 feet, Some homes in Monterey along High Street and Worth
streets likely flood, with Taylor Street west of town flooded.
Long stretches of Old Landing Road and Point of Rock Road are
flooded. Water approaches homes along Crittenden Street in Gratz,
with stretches of Ky Route 355 and Crittenden Road flooded.
At 51.0 feet, More than half of Monterey floods. Water is four
feet deep in homes closest to the river. Water is up to two feet
deep on Taylor St. Flooding may occur in low lying buildings along
Crittenden Street in Gratz.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 50.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 30 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Friday afternoon and continue falling.
- Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
