.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 345 AM EDT Sun Mar 23 2025

With the incoming trough this afternoon, made a few adjustments
to the forecast this shift. Slightly pushed back the timing of
the incoming rainfall today as drier low levels, current dew
points in the upper teens, have to moisten up for precipitation
to be realized at the surface. Expected storm total rainfall
amounts will range from 0.20" to 0.35". Also, adjusted the
forecasted winds up slightly today, especially for this evening
winds begin shifting from southeasterly to more southwest and
ultimately westerly tonight. Gusts may top out around 40 mph
tonight into the overnight hours. Good idea to secure any loose
items that may blow around with the gusty winds. High
temperatures today in the upper 40s. Lows overnight in the 30s.

As the disturbance moves eastward we will see some wrap around
moisture behind the system push back in from the north on Monday
for the far northern areas of the CWA (IN/MI border areas) and a
few snow showers with a little rain mixing in especially at the
onset. No additional accumulations expected with these light
showers. Highs on Monday in the mid 40s north to around 50
degrees for southern parts of the CWA. Winds begin to slacken by
Monday evening with thinning clouds in a more northwesterly flow
aloft. Lows on Tuesday morning in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

By Tuesday afternoon, another disturbance pushes southeastward
within the northwesterly flow aloft and brings another chance of
some light rain showers into Wednesday morning. A few snowflakes
look to mix in, especially for the northern parts of the area as
diurnal temperatures cool to around freezing for most parts of
the area. By Wednesday afternoon, we will see the showers come
to an end as high amplitude ridging over the central CONUS
begins to push eastward. This will bring a warming trend to the
area with highs on Thursday in the mid to upper 50s and on
Friday int the 60s. Warmer yet on Saturday with highs in the
upper 60s to low 70s. Some convective showers possible each day
from Thursday into the weekend, with even a few rumbles of
thunder possible, especially Friday afternoon/evening. Dew
points will run in the 40s to 50s Thursday through Saturday with
the highest values on Friday afternoon.

.AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z MONDAY/...
Issued at 1235 AM EDT Sun Mar 23 2025

An upstream wave will bring a quick round of precipitation to
northern Indiana. At the onset, the lower atmospheric layers
were very dry and not supportive of lower clouds so delayed the
formation of lower clouds until after the rain begins. Along
with the rain, lower visibilities and ceilings will arrive, but
conditions will improve quickly after the system passes. Have
improvement to VFR near or shortly after 00Z.
