...New UPDATE, AVIATION...

.UPDATE...
Issued at 1219 PM CDT Fri Mar 21 2025

No ZFP updates needed to going forecast today. Minor grid updates
to handle temperature/dew point trends should be about it.

&&

.SHORT TERM...
(Today through Saturday)
Issued at 304 AM CDT Fri Mar 21 2025

High pressure will move in and out of the area today. This will be
quick as we should see winds shift from northerly to southerly
within 12 hours. Southerly winds will remain through the weekend and
temps will remain comfortable which is quite normal for spring
time.

&&

.LONG TERM...
(Saturday night through Thursday)
Issued at 304 AM CDT Fri Mar 21 2025

The next frontal system will impact the area by Sunday night into
Monday. Eventhough SPC has a portion of the area in slight risk for
severe, numbers do not jump off the page for severe storms here.
These numbers are better north of our area as the front is moving
this way though. That is not to say a storm can't become a renagade,
but its not looking like an issue at this time. Winds do run
parallel to the front as it moves to the gulf coast though. This
would not say severe but instead training of storms which is more of
a wet system than severe. The front stalls over us Mon then moves
north Tue then more forcing moves in to move the front back over the
area Wed stalling near the coast for Thu then moving back north late
Thu into Fri. There is no large impacts with this boundary as it
moves back and forth but temp and moisture swings will be noticed.

.AVIATION...
(18Z TAFS)
Issued at 1219 PM CDT Fri Mar 21 2025

Sunny skies in place this afternoon. Can't entirely rule out brief
minor visibility restrictions around sunrise Saturday, but
probabilities aren't high enough to justify as a prevailing
condition at any terminal.

&&

.MARINE...
Issued at 304 AM CDT Fri Mar 21 2025

Winds will shift from northerly to southerly by the end of today but
will remain at 15kt or less into the start of next week. A front
will stall near the coast late Monday which will cause wind to
weaken a bit but remain southerly. By mid week, winds could be light
and variable at times.
