At 433 AM CST, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from 6 nm northeast of Shalimar
to 25 nm south of Farewell Buoy, moving southeast at 35 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
Locations impacted include...
Mary Esther, Fort Walton Beach, Highway 331 Bridge, Shalimar, Destin,
Okaloosa Pier, Navarre Beach, West Choctawhatchee Bay, East Santa
Rosa Sound, and Okaloosa Deep Water Reef.
