.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 205 PM EDT Thu Oct 17 2024
Pleasant mid October wx through Monday as an impressive Eastern
CONUS upper ridge dominates with ample sunshine, light winds and dry
conditions. Weak return flow on the backside of sfc high pressure
will also result in a gradual warming trend with highs reaching near
70F Friday-Saturday, and the low to mid 70s by Sunday and Monday.
Dry airmass will make for for ~30F diurnal temp ranges each day with
cool/typical mornings through the period.
Chances for some cloud cover and possibly a few showers does enter
the forecast around Tuesday as the upper ridge breaks down and a
Four Corners upper low finally releases east into the Midwest and
Great Lakes. Poor moisture quality and lacking deep layer forcing
warrants nothing more than a slight chance PoP. A little cooler
behind this system then for the remainder of the week.

.AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z SATURDAY/...
Issued at 115 AM EDT Fri Oct 18 2024
Strong subsidence and abundant dry air throughout the column
will ensure ideal aviation conditions through the period. Fog is
highly unlikely this morning given crossover temps in the upper
20s and expected low temps only in the mid 30s. Southerly winds
will remain below 10 kts through the period.
