A strong ridge of high pressure will remain over the region
through the end of the week. This will keep the area dry and
temperatures will warm to near 90 degrees on Wednesday and
Thursday. Yet with mostly clear skies due to subsidence,
radiational cooling will drop overnight lows into the 50s. The
exception will be Thursday night, when increasing cloud cover
related to Tropical Storm Francine will keep temperatures
slightly warmer and in the low 60s.
Concerning Tropical Storm Francine, models are in agreement that
it will stay southwest of the local area on Friday, with the
main impacts being increased clouds and breezy winds, and
therefore somewhat cooler temperatures. Friday highs should only
be in the low 80s. Similar conditions can be expected on
Saturday, but models diverge as to whether we will see any rain
from this system. The GFS and ECMWF are mostly dry, but the
Canadian brings some light rain for the weekend. East coast
ridging then seems to build back in again for Monday and
Tuesday giving more confidence in drier weather. However, the
NBM is still keep some pops in through that time period, and
will maintain that forecast for consistency, but drier
conditions seem more probable.

Continued VFR conditions expected through the period with light
southwesterly winds. Smoke aloft will bring a hazy look to
skies, however will remain operationally insignificant.
