...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following county, in northern Kentucky, Campbell and
the following counties, in southwest Ohio, Brown and Clermont.
* WHEN...Until 945 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 642 PM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5
and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts
of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Milford, Amelia, Mount Orab, Bethel, New Richmond,
Williamsburg, Batavia, Felicity, Withamsville, Owensville,
Hamersville, Newtonsville, Fayetteville, Mentor, Moscow, St.
Martin, California, East Fork State Park, Bantam and Locust
Ridge.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
To report flooding, go to our website at weather.gov/iln and submit
your report via social media, when you can do so safely.
