Rhode Island Sound...
* Until 515 PM EDT.
* At 410 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 9 nm north of Westerly to Charlestown Breachway,
moving south at 10 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and large hail.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in
structural damage.
* Locations impacted include...
Watch Hill, Charlestown Breachway, Block Island Sound, The Coastal
Waters West Of Block Island, and Point Judith Light.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
