...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN ESCAMBIA...SOUTHERN
CONECUH...COVINGTON...NORTHERN OKALOOSA AND NORTHEASTERN SANTA ROSA
COUNTIES THROUGH 930 PM CDT...

At 838 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 4 miles northeast of I65 And AL 113 to 7 miles
south of Castleberry to 7 miles southwest of Opp. Movement was
southeast at 20 mph. An outflow boundary was also quickly pushing
south ahead of the storms. Strong wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will be
possible behind the passing outflow boundary. 

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Andalusia, Opp, Brewton, Florala, East Brewton, Castleberry, Laurel
Hill, Lockhart, and Riverview.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for
south central Alabama...and northwestern Florida.
