* At 1023 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong
wind gusts and possible waterspouts were located along a line
extending from 10 nm southeast of The Coastal Waters Between Block
Island And Marthas Vineyard to 8 nm southeast of Buoy 44097
Southeast Of Block Island, moving northeast at 15 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
