A few showers and a stray thunderstorm will slide through the far
eastern portions of the CWA late this afternoon; however, there will
be a quick diminishing trend into the early evening hours.
The CONUS will then be set between a trough over the eastern CONUS
and a ridge building toward the west and central CONUS. The Quad
State will be in between the two in north to northwest flow aloft
through Wednesday. This will keep temperatures quite a bit cooler
and more comfortable with drier air in place. In fact, temperatures
may only warm into the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. Lows are
expected to be in the 50s!
Thursday into next weekend, the aforementioned ridge will shift
eastward through much of the central and eastern CONUS. This will
lead to yet another warming trend as southerly flow also increase.
This will lead to a gradual increase in humidity as high
temperatures push back into the 90s. The chances for rainfall are
very limited through this entire forecast period with a surface
ridge in place along with the upper-level ridging.

VFR conditions are likely through the TAF period. The last few
showers are making their way through the Kentucky Pennyrile
region. Mostly clear skies and diminished winds are expected for
the overnight hours. Minor vsby reductions are possible. Winds
become breezy again out of the north tomorrow with scattered 4-5
kft clouds and dry conditions.
