At 133 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Ama, or near Avondale, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Marrero, Avondale, Metairie, Harvey, Hahnville, Jefferson, Harahan,
Westwego, Woodmere, Elmwood, Luling, Bridge City, River Ridge,
Boutte, Ama, Estelle, Waggaman, St. Rose, Destrehan, and Bayou
Gauche.

People attending Waggaman SAR should seek safe shelter immediately!

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 231 and 234.
 Interstate 310 between mile markers 7 and 11.
 Interstate 610 near mile marker 1.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
