.KEY MESSAGES...
- Dangerous swimming conditions are expected at Lake Michigan
beaches through this afternoon and evening. Life-threatening
waves and currents are expected. Those visiting the beaches
should plan to stay out of the water.
-Mostly dry conditions through Wednesday, with only brief
chances for isolated showers Monday night west of US 31 south
of US 30. The next chances for showers and maybe a few
thunderstorms will be Wednesday night into next Saturday.
Severe weather is not expected at this time.
-High temperatures this week will be in the 70s and low to mid
80s, and lows will be in the 50s and 60s. Coolest temperatures
will be this weekend.

Expansive ridging through the wrn OH valley assures continued
tranquil wx through much of the period. Blocky ern NOAM flow
aloft will finally begin to breakdown toward midweek with
ewd/nwd expansion of srn plains centered upper ridge. This will
mark a return of warmer and more humid conditions as we head
into next weekend.
Some potential exists for one or more cntrl plains sourced
convectively induced wave disturbances to evolve late Wed-Thu
and track into the OH valley Thu-Fri coincident w/large scale
shortwave tracking through the nrn lakes late week. Otherwise
this period will be marked by dry and seasonal conditions
through Wed.

Issued at 1228 PM EDT Sat Aug 10 2024
Minimal changes needed for the 18Z TAF forecast period. The
forecast is on track as current wind gusts have been in the 20
to 25 kt range, especially closer to Lake Michigan. Winds will
continue to be quite breezy out of the west today, before
diminishing around sunset and becoming 5 kts or less overnight.
VFR ceilings will persist through the entirety of the TAF
forecast period.
