At 214 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
St. Rose, or 7 miles east of Hahnville. This thunderstorm was nearly
stationary.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Metairie, Ama, Waggaman, River Ridge, St. Rose, Destrehan, and New
Orleans Armstrong Airport.
This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 218 and 225.
