.SHORT TERM...
(Now through Tuesday)
Issued at 1137 AM CDT Sat Oct 10 2026

High pressure will build over the area and dominate the upper
level pattern tonight through Tuesday. As a result, little to no
rainfall is expected for the next several days. Drier are will
persist for the short term forecast. As a result, temperatures
will still be above average for this time of year with highs in
the upper 80s and low 90s. But with lower humidities, the feels
like temperatures will be quite close to the actual temperatures,
which should feel quite pleasant by comparison to the last few
weeks. MSW

.LONG TERM...
(Tuesday night through Friday)
Issued at 1137 AM CDT Sat Oct 10 2026

Tuesday night through the Friday, high pressure will continue to
dominate the upper level pattern. Southerly surface winds and
onshore flow will return Tuesday night and onward through the long
term forecast. Little to no rainfall is expected for the long term
forecast. Highs will be in the low 90s to upper 80s with feels
like temperatures within 1-4 degrees of those values. So, it
should feel a little warm, but the humidities will not be
noticeable. So the drier air will be a nice change compared to the
last few weeks.

A cool front moves through the area Friday with little to no rain
expected at this time looking at the models. But it will likely
bring cooler temperatures for next weekend. Forecast highs are in
the low to mid 80s next weekend briefly. MSW
