[Delayed Report] Bobs Creek [Harlan Co, KY] Public reports Flash Flood at 23 Sep, 10:50 PM EDT -- Social media report of the Bobs Creek Tunnel being totally inundated by flood waters during the evening round of flash flooding on 9/23. Pictures from after dawn on 9/24 reveal that there is still standing water in the tunnel, but there is also multiple logs and debris making the tunnel impassable. It appears that there was at least 3 feet of water in the tunnel based on the water/mud marks visible on the walls of the tunnel. Time estimated using peak Crest Unit Streamflow data. There were 5 pixels of 1000+ cfs upstream of this location along KY-1556. That area drains towards this tunnel.
