.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 202 PM CDT Sat Sep 6 2025

Surface high pressure is filling in behind the cold front that
is now well south and east of the region. Latest visible
satellite imagery shows mostly clear skies across the area as
temperatures climb into the mid 70s. Surface high pressure
continues to build into area from the northwest today and Sunday
beginning a period of dry weather that is set to last well into
next week. High temperatures Sunday into Monday will only rise
into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees beneath continued
northwest flow aloft.

Southerly return flow develops next week allowing temperatures
to warm back into the low to mid 80s Tuesday, followed by upper
80s to lower 90s by the end of this coming week. Will still
need to keep an eye on elevated fire weather conditions,
especially for the latter half of the week given the prolonged
dry conditions, and low humidity. Given the increased deep layer
ridging, no precipitation is expected throughout the next 7
days.
