holiday weekend.

A 1027 mb sfc high is centered over the area today and will shift
east tomorrow. We are still in northwest flow aloft with a trof over
the Great Lakes through the Ohio Valley to the Mid Mississippi
Valley by tomorrow. Showers and storms develop over the Central
Plains tonight and look to move east-southeast through tomorrow.
Models have continued to trend further west with the eastern extent
of the precip. Precip now barely touches the far southwest corner of
SEMO in the Euro/NAM and is dry otherwise for tonight and tomorrow.
We stay in weak northwest flow aloft as upper ridging develops over
the western CONUS late this week. Sfc high pressure develops to our
north over the Great Lakes and temps start a gradual warm up on
Friday, but still remain below normal with dry conditions. We return
to the mid to upper 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday but dew points only
climb into the lower 60s with the return of southwest flow.

VFR conditions expected through the end of the period. Western
portions of the area will see an increase in high clouds as the
day goes on, while a mid level cu deck has formed to the
northeast at EVV and OWB. Winds will remain light and variable
today and then go calm overnight and then light and variable
again tomorrow morning.
