...A FLOOD ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...The Flood Advisory is for extreme northwestern Bath County
in Kentucky.
* WHEN...The Flood Advisory is in effect until 1000 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas is
expected.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 751 PM EDT, Weather radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms was occurring. This will cause small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen in much
of the advisory area in less than an hour.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Sharpsburg and Bethel.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
