Water over roadways.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 231 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Generally light to occasionally moderate rain can be expected through early this morning, with no additional risk of flash flooding expected. However, continue to remain cautious if traveling this morning and avoid flooded roadways. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... New Orleans, Metairie, Avondale, Marrero, Harvey, Hahnville, Timberlane, Belle Chasse, Chalmette, Jefferson, Gretna, Harahan, Westwego, River Ridge, Waggaman, Elmwood, Bridge City, Ama, St. Rose and Luling. - This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 215 and 245. Interstate 610 between mile markers 1 and 4.
