...New NEAR TERM, SHORT TERM, LONG TERM, MARINE...

.NEAR TERM...
(Now through Monday)
Issued at 405 AM CST Sun Jan 26 2025

Surface high pressure will move east of the area today with a
southerly flow developing. This will bring increasing moisture
into the regions ahead of an approaching frontal boundary. The
front will move south across the area on Monday and into the
marine area by Monday night. The highest rain chances will be
north of Highway 84 tonight into Monday morning with lower
chances south toward the coast. High temps today will be in the
upper 50s and low 60s. Lows tonight will be in the low to mid 40s
inland to near 50 along the coast. Highs on Monday will be in the
mid/upper 50s inland to low to mid 60s along the coast. /13

.LONG TERM...
(Tuesday through Saturday)
Issued at 405 AM CST Sun Jan 26 2025

A predominantly zonal flow pattern aloft will continue across the
local region through Thursday as longwave troughing digs into the
northeast US. This trough will gradually move into the western
Atlantic by the end of the week. Additionally, a cutoff upper low
over the southwest US will slowly move to the east through
midweek. By time it reaches Texas/Oklahoma, it will quickly eject
to the northeast, providing us with southwesterly flow aloft. We
dry out through Tuesday night as shortwave ridging moves overhead
and high pressure builds over Florida. Rain chances increase once
again on Wednesday as another front attempts to move through the
local area. After drying out once again on Thursday, rain chances
ramp up again Friday into Saturday as the cutoff low ejects
northeastward and another front approaches the area. Temperatures
gradually warm through Wednesday, with highs reaching the low 70s
and lows ranging from the mid 40s north to the mid 50s south.
Temperatures decrease a bit for Thursday as the midweek front
moves through, and they eventually rebound by Friday and
Saturday. 96/13

.MARINE...
Issued at 405 AM CST Sun Jan 26 2025

High pressure moves east of the area today resulting
in light east to southeast flow. An approaching front Monday
brings a small chance of showers. The front moves south of the
marine waters by Tuesday and brings a brief period of light
offshore flow in its wake. East to southeast flow increases late
in the week as a stronger front approaches the area. /13
