POINTE COUPEE PARISHES, WILKINSON AND NORTHWESTERN AMITE COUNTIES

At 603 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Sibley to Mamou. Movement was east at 40
mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
New Roads, St. Francisville, Centreville, Livonia, Woodville,
Gloster, Fordoche, Morganza, Wakefield, Spillman, Batchelor,
Lettsworth, Fort Adams, Dolorosa, Lottie, and Crosby.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CST for southeastern
