...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS
EVENING...
* WHAT...For the Low Water Advisory, abnormally low water
levels. For the Small Craft Advisory, west winds to 20
knots and waves 1 to 3 feet.
* WHERE...The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay to
Vermilion OH.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Below
normal water levels will result in hazardous navigating
conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...At 4 PM EST Saturday, the water level at
Toledo was 3 inches above low water datum or 1 inch above the
critical mark for safe navigation. Water levels will remain
close to the critical mark of 2 inches above low water datum
into this evening. Water levels will gradually rise tonight as
winds begin to shift towards the west.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
Mariners should navigate shallow waters with extreme caution due
to below normal water levels.
