.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1257 PM CST Mon Nov 11 2024

We are on the southern periphery of a surface high early this
week favoring tranquil weather and northerly winds. Another cool
night is in store as lows dip into the upper 30's to lower
40's. Can't rule out patchy fog where winds go calm. Dry
weather will continue into Tuesday as a ridge axis moves
overhead the region. NE flow will promote a cooler airmass with
highs struggling to reach 60 degrees.

An upper level trough digs into the plains by Wednesday dragging
a cold front through Wednesday night. Increased isentropic
ascent across the 300K surface begins as well contributing to
moistening of the column and scattered showers moving through
the region Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night. Some
lingering rain is possible early Thursday across the east but
clearing is expected as high pressure filters in from the west.

Upper level ridging develops ahead of a trough out west for the
weekend. Dry weather can be expected with warming temperatures
in the mid to upper 60's. NBM has some low end PoPs coming back
into the forecast for Sunday into Sunday night as the ridge
flattens. Otherwise, above normal temperatures continue into
early next week.
