.SYNOPSIS...
Dry weather settles in area wide on Friday as high pressure
moves into the Great Lakes region. The next chance for rain will
arrive Saturday night into Sunday as an area of low pressure
tracks through the region.

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 AM FRIDAY MORNING/...
Surface high pressure will provide mostly clear skies and light
northwesterly winds overnight. Patchy fog may develop in rural
areas and along prone river valleys. Low temperatures will fall
into the upper 30s to lower 40s.

.SHORT TERM /6 AM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT/...
Looking regionally, quiet weather persists through the day and
night on Friday with surface high pressure dominating. Blowoff
of upper level clouds from a system to the west decreases the
chance for a completely clear day, but that won't stop the
classic fall-like scenario taking shape for tomorrow.
Temperatures are a few degrees above normal during the
afternoon, but likely remain in the 60s.
A trough swinging through southeast Canada Friday night
provides a dry cold front which will result in the winds
shifting from northwest to northeast. Similar to Thursday night,
mid to upper 30s are forecast generally north of the Ohio River
with 40s along and south.

.LONG TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...
Mid and upper level low weakens as it tracks northeast across
the Plains on Saturday and thru the Great Lakes Sunday. Mid
level ridge shifts east with flow backing and a warm front
lifting across the region Saturday night. This will offer an
increased chance for rain after midnight Saturday night with a
chance for some embedded thunder Sunday ahead of a surface cold
front.
The region dries out Monday as high pressure builds into the
area in the wake of cold front. Dry conditions to continue into
Tuesday as the high moves off to the east.
A threat for rain returns later Wednesday with the approach of
the next frontal system.
Above normal temperatures to continue with highs generally in
the 60s.

.AVIATION /03Z FRIDAY THROUGH TUESDAY/...
High pressure will slowly build into TAF sites tonight providing
VFR conditions through the period. There could be some river
valley fog at LUK late tonight into early Friday morning. Winds
will be light from the northwest to north.
OUTLOOK...MVFR conditions will be possible Sunday into Monday.
