This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
A prolonged heat wave continues to produce dangerously hot and
humid conditions. Please see the Extreme Heat Warning for details.
The extreme heat, low humidity, and rapidly drying vegetation may
result in increased fire starts.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
A prolonged heat wave will continue to produce dangerously hot
and humid conditions. The Extreme Heat Warning continues
throughout the Quad State through Saturday. Please refer to it for
details.
The extreme heat, low humidity, and rapidly drying vegetation may
result in increased fire starts through the holiday weekend and
into next week.
Isolated thunderstorms will be possible mainly Saturday afternoon
and evening over the Evansville Tri State and Pennyrile region of
west Kentucky. Brief downpours, lightning, and very localized
gusty winds will be the primary concerns.
