...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM EDT WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following county, in east central Indiana, Wayne and
the following counties, in west central Ohio, Darke and Preble.
* WHEN...Until 145 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1042 PM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5
and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts
of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Richmond, Greenville, Eaton, Centerville, Versailles,
Arcanum, Lewisburg, Union City, New Paris, Ansonia, New
Madison, Webster, Wayne Lakes, Gettysburg, Eldorado, Verona,
West Manchester, Pitsburg, Spring Grove and Hollansburg.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
To report flooding, go to our website at weather.gov/iln and submit
your report via social media, when you can do so safely.
