At 427 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Chestnut, or 8 miles west of Inez. These storms
were nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Inez, Add, Tomahawk, Stambaugh, Galen, Whitehouse, Stidham, Chestnut,
River, Nippa, Offutt, Milo, Job, Wells, and Davisport.
THIS INCLUDES U.S. Highway 23 in Johnson County between mile markers
11 and 16.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
