...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM CDT EARLY THIS
MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of western Kentucky, including the following
counties, Daviess, Henderson, McLean and Webster.
* WHEN...Until 215 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1230 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Evansville, Owensboro, Henderson, Mount Vernon, Providence,
Calhoun, Sebree, Livermore, Clay, Dixon, Corydon,
Whitesville, Robards, Beech Grove, St. Joseph, Stanley,
Masonville, Knottsville, Sacramento and Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
