National Weather Service Cleveland OH

.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure remains stationed across the eastern seaboard through
the weekend before exiting east. Low pressure traversing across the
Upper Midwest into Canada will drag a cold front across the Great
Lakes Tuesday into Wednesday.
&&
.NEAR TERM /THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT/...
High pressure will continue to influence the local weather through
this weekend with warming temperatures anticipated. Overnight
lows tonight will be slightly warmer than last night as they
settle in the lower 50s with isolated upper 40s across interior
Northwest Pennsylvania. High temperatures on Friday will be 5-10
degrees warmer than today as they rise into the low to mid 80s
for most, mid to upper 70s across Northeast Ohio and Northwest
Pennsylvania. Overnight lows on Friday will dip into the low 50s
east of the I-71 corridor with mid to upper 50s expected west
of the I-71 corridor.
&&
.SHORT TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT/...
High pressure begins to exit to the east this weekend but will
largely remain in control with above normal high temperatures and
dry weather expected to persist. Areawide high temperatures in the
80s are likely through the weekend with highs 85+ F likely along the
I-75 corridor. Overnight lows will generally settle in the 50s each
night.
&&
.LONG TERM /MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...
Dry weather comes to an end in the long term as a cold front
approaches the Great Lakes region. Monday should largely remain dry
ahead of the arrival of the front with increased precipitation
chances Monday night into Tuesday. Highest precipitation chances
will occur with the frontal passage Tuesday afternoon through early
Wednesday morning. Another area of high pressure builds overhead
behind the cold front Wednesday into Thursday which will
diminish any lingering precipitation.
High temperatures will peak on Monday ahead of the cold front in the
low to mid 80s. Slightly cooler on Tuesday with highs in the upper
70s. High temperatures behind the cold front drop into the lower 60s
Wednesday and Thursday.
&&
.AVIATION /00Z Friday THROUGH Tuesday/...
VFR is observed areawide and largely expected to continue with
SCT/BKN upper-level cirrus tonight giving way to sunny skies on
Friday. Patchy fog is possible in Northwest Ohio late tonight
into early Friday morning, with a couple models even showing
dense fog with 1/4SM visibilities near KTOL. For now, trended
the TOL TAF a little lower with 2 SM visibility for a few hours
but will take a closer look with the 06Z TAFs.
Winds are generally light and out of the south through the TAF
period. Stronger south-southeast winds near KERI are expected
due to downsloping, with gusts as high as 20 knots expected
04-12Z on Friday.
Outlook...Non-VFR will be possible with rain showers Monday
night through Wednesday.
&&
.MARINE...
Conditions across Lake Erie will remain calm with high pressure over
the east coast influencing the region. Winds will be light at less
than 10 knots out of the east-southeast through the weekend. There
may be times of stronger winds out of the south Saturday into
Sunday, but will stay less than 15 knots. Waves will be less than 1
foot through the end of the weekend.
