.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure will persist through the rest of the week. A weak
system will drop across the area Saturday night bringing the chance
of a few sprinkles.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH FRIDAY/...
Surface high pressure over the upper Great Lakes will slowly slide to
the southeast into tonight. The middle Ohio Valley will remain under
the influence of this high, with mostly clear skies and light winds
the result. Low temperatures will dip into the 50s.

.SHORT TERM /FRIDAY NIGHT/...
The high will remain the primary driver of Ohio Valley weather Friday
and Friday night. Little atmospheric moisture across the region
ensures a dry forecast. Temperatures will have a large diurnal range,
with warm conditions during the day and cool conditions at night.

.LONG TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY/...
Surface high pressure remains overhead on Saturday. Weak
southwesterly flow develops during the day. Forecast highs are in
the middle 80s under partly cloudy skies. For Saturday night, a
slight chance for showers develops when a subtle upper level
shortwave trough progresses through. Given how dry things are and
the weak forcing, most locations likely remain precip free.
Southwestern extent of a surface high centered over southeastern
Canada/northeast USA extends into the Ohio Valley Sunday through mid
week. Warm and dry conditions will persist with highs around the
middle 80s and lows in the middle to upper 50s. Anomalous upper
level ridging accompanies the warm, dry conditions over the Ohio
Valley. By the end of the week, an upper level cutoff low over the
eastern seaboard may approach the region from the southeast.&&

.AVIATION /00Z THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY/...
VFR conditions will prevail through the TAF period. Can't rule out
some river valley fog at LUK for a brief period Friday morning.
Winds remain light and generally out of the east/northeast
throughout the afternoon on Friday, although there will likely be
some variability to the direction given the light flow. Later in the
afternoon and into the evening, high level clouds begin to move in
from the northwest.
