.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure and dry conditions will be around for much of the week.
There will be a gradual warming trend during this time.
&&
.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 AM TUESDAY MORNING/...
With high pressure in place over the eastern Great Lakes, winds will
die down overnight going either calm or remaining very light. Clear
skies prevail and patchy river valley fog is expected during the
early morning hours on Tuesday, particularly near the Scioto River
Valley area. Signal isn't overly robust, so did not include in the
grids at this time, though wanted to mention here.
Previous discussion-> Dry conditions will be in place through
tonight. High temperatures today will be in the 70s. Low temperatures
will be well below normal again tonight with lows in the 40s in most
locations.
&&
.SHORT TERM /6 AM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT/...
High pressure and dry conditions are expected Tuesday and Tuesday
night. Temperatures are still expected to be below normal, however
they will be slightly warmer than Monday. High temperatures in the
70s to low 80s are expected and lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.
&&
.LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY/...
Dry conditions will continue through most of the long term time
period. There are some indications for a system moving into the
region at the end of the long term Saturday night into Sunday. At
this time NBM is indicating a slight chance of pops and with
uncertainty in placement and timing decided not to make any changes
to the precipitation chances at this time.
High temperatures will generally be in the 80s across most locations
during this time. Low temperatures in the 50s are expected during
most time periods, however some 60s will also be possible Saturday
night.
&&
.AVIATION /00Z TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
High pressure remains in control and all sites (except KLUK) remain
VFR with calm to light/variable winds. Patchy river valley fog is
expected, so have dropped KLUK VSBYs briefly during early morning
hours Tuesday. Fog dissipates shortly after sunrise.
Diurnal cu expected Tuesday with light southeasterly flow, around 5
knots. High level cirrus cloud blow off moves in at the end of the
TAF period.
